Taager, founded in December 2019, is an Egyptian social e-commerce platform that empowers online merchants by providing comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions. The platform offers a suite of integrated services, including operational and logistical infrastructure such as storage and shipping, as well as an online marketplace that connects sellers with wholesalers. By leveraging technology, artificial intelligence, and data science, Taager enables first-time sellers to start and scale their online businesses with relatively low risk. The company provides a transparent pricing structure and an enhanced product selection process, allowing online sellers to focus on running their businesses while Taager manages the end-to-end operations.

Since its inception, Taager has experienced significant growth, with its Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) increasing at a rate of around 40% month-on-month. In July 2021, the company raised $6.4 million in a seed funding round led by 4DX Ventures, with participation from Raed Ventures, Beco Capital, Breyer Capital, and private investors including Magnus Olsson. This investment brought Taager’s total funding to over $7 million and was aimed at expanding the company’s operations and presence across Egypt and the Middle East, as well as enhancing its technology and talent pool.

Taager’s innovative approach has positioned it as a leading player in the rapidly growing social e-commerce market in Egypt, which is forecasted to be worth more than $14.8 billion by 2024. By providing a seamless platform that integrates various aspects of the e-commerce process, Taager continues to empower small and medium-sized businesses, contributing to the growth of Egypt’s economy.
