Grinta
Grinta is a Cairo-based digital pharmacy platform that modernizes Egypt’s pharmaceutical supply chain by empowering independent pharmacies. Founded in 2021 by serial entrepreneurs Mohamed Azab, Yosra Badr, Ali Youssef, and Hamza Mohamed, Grinta offers an end-to-end B2B e-commerce platform providing access to a comprehensive range of traceable pharmaceutical and medical products from multiple vendors. The platform enhances efficiency through fulfillment services, demand planning, and inventory financing, collaborating with stakeholders across the value chain—including manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and pharmacies—to build a data-driven, reliable, and efficient pharmaceutical supply chain. Since its inception, Grinta has expanded aggressively across several Egyptian governorates, serving over 14,000 registered pharmacies and delivering more than 100,000 orders. The company has also made strategic acquisitions, including PH Store, a digital platform in northern Egypt, and EME, a software development company, to bolster its technological capabilities and market presence. In 2022, Grinta raised $8 million in seed funding co-led by Raed Ventures and Nclude, bringing its total funding to $9.5 million, to scale its full-stack tech platform, expand its team, and accelerate growth across the Egyptian market.
